Goodbye Rolling Rock, You Were Great

Rolling Rock beer is now officially gone. They closed last Thursday and the new swampwater version made by the Buttwiper company should start rolling out of Newark, NJ any day now. I'll give it a try but I'm not very optimistic about anything produced by the makers of Buttwiper.

Raise a Rolling Rock, if you can find some in the stores, and salute an age old Latrobe tradition, gone now forever. Keep in mind the Buttwiper people who bought it could have kept the brewery going, but chose to close it and fire all the dedicated employees. Nice people, those Buttwipers.

Drink another one out of respect for the displaced employees.

To the ex Rolling Rock employees;

Thank you for your dedication in producing this fine American beer. You have all received a raw deal, but I'm sure you expected no less from the Buttwiper people. I wish you all the best in life. You deserve it, each and every one of you.

The same! But fear not, the glass lined tank of old Tramp brewery continues on. Buttwiper will never get my brewery!

Hi Sweet. It is a fine beer. You never need a reason to have one, but it doesn't hurt!
