Carnation Slogan

This is a true story. Back in the 1940's, Carnation Milk ran a contest for an advertising slogan. The slogan had to begin with, "Carnation Milk is best of all...". They offered $5,000 for the best

A little old lady from Newfoundland, who had worked on a dairy farm all of her life, decided to enter. She sent in her entry and waited.

About a week later, a man from Carnation arrived at her home. He told her, "Carnation LOVED your entry so much, we are here to award you $1000, even though we will not be able to use it" .
