Computer Dependency

Southern Girl has a point to make about being computer dependant.

I'm not computer dependant!

I also have internet access on my cell phone, Palm Pilot and my watch.

Yes, my wristwatch has internet access!

Okay, maybe that's too much!

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This just proves that we have become too dependent on our computers.
Are you male or female?
Yes, I do!
This wristwatch is a joint venture of Timex and Motorola. It is called the 'Internet Messenger'. It operates on the Skytel network. It will receive email, news, weather, sports scores and almost anything else on the internet. It amazes many people. It also serves as a pager.
Oh, and it tells time too!
It cannot send however, it only receives.
And the battery lasts only about a month. It uses hearing aid batteries. Those are fun to buy ("Where are your hearing aid batteries?" "Aisle 6" "WHAT?").
The alert tones (for new email and such) are not very loud, but it can be set to vibrate and it vibrates very hard.
Some Wal-marts carry them and I suppose any Timex dealer could order one. It costs $75 and comes with one year of free internet and pager service. An additional year costs $600, so just buy another watch!
