It's Curtains For You

Lawmakers are paid to protect you. That's what the law is for. So if someone from Euclid, OH could please explain how this gets you jailed, I'm waiting.
So far, all I can come up as an explanation is John Conway is insane. This from the AP news wire.

Ohio Residents Must Have Proper Window Treatments

It's curtains for trashy window displays, in a law some might say is a little "shady"...

Euclid, OH -- It's okay to call this law window dressing. The City Council in the Cleveland suburb of Euclid has passed a law requiring residents to have proper window treatments that also must be hung properly. People are no longer allowed to cover their windows with blankets, garbage bags or insulation. Violators will receive warnings and could face up to six months in jail and a $1,000 fine. The law allows 15 days to remove or fix illegal window coverings. Landlords will be responsible for getting tenants to comply. Councilman John Conway says the law will be complaint-driven so housing inspectors won't become the fashion police. He proposed the measure after making the rounds with inspectors and hearing from residents.

I can see it now. "Drop the curtains and come out with your hands up."
