Blues, Brews and BBQ

There will be an event in Akron this month called Blues, Brews and BBQ. It will feature some great blues bands as well as samples of beer from some of the top local brewers, or craft brewers as they like to be called.

Here is their description;

Beer and food pairings from local chefs, lots of beer, a raffle, and good music in one of the best outdoor settings in Ohio

Enjoy the beautiful grounds of Stan Hywet while sampling your favorite beers from local microbreweries. Great blues music, cooking demonstrations by local chefs, and more than 80 brews will be featured. Winking Lizard will offer great food (additional fee) to complement microbrews. Special pricing for designated drivers. Advanced ticketing is recommended. You must be 21 years of age to attend.

Twenty five bucks gets you in and it sounds like a good time. Or ten bucks if you are a designated driver, but no beer (NO BEER!). It's an outdoor event on the grounds of Stan Hywet Hall in Akron. On Saturday, July 29, 2006 from 2:00 till 6:00. Tickets here.
