I Wrote A Poem

A friend of mine made some bad decisions. It cost him dearly.

I've been helping him. And I'm proud of him. He's doing very well.

So I wrote a poem for him. He likes it.
I don't know if it's good, but I'll put it here, as he asked me to.

This is for Tim. Geno titled it. It's called

The Dragon

I started with a great big smile,
All set to take a stand.
I knew that I could go the mile,
With a crack pipe in my hand.

“It’s wrong, it’s bad”, I heard them say,
You just don’t understand.
It’s no big deal, I only play,
With a crack pipe in my hand.

I say it’s good and they say nay,
They say it should be banned.
It’s how I choose to spend my day,
With a crack pipe in my hand.

“You’ll lose control, you wait and see,
It’s not in your command.”
You don’t know what it’s like for me,
When a crack pipe’s in my hand.

I can’t remember what I did,
Did I just blow a grand?
I must be sure to keep a lid,
On the crack pipe in my hand.

They said that it would lead to trouble,
Your life hangs by a strand.
You give me crap, I’ll give you double,
With a crack pipe in my hand.

They locked me up inside a cell,
Their brain a tiny gland.
I told them they could go to hell,
With a crack pipe in my hand.

I went and got my latest fix,
My cash wrapped with a band.
There’s something wrong, it’s not like this,
When a crack pipe’s in my hand.

It’s different now, not like the last,
It can’t be, I demand.
I cannot breathe, I cough and gasp,
With a crack pipe in my hand.

Oh Lord, my God, what have I done?
Myself I cannot stand.
I do not like what I’ve become,
Through the crack pipe in my hand.

I start to worry and I fret,
I’m wrong, I understand.
My friend has turned into a threat,
That crack pipe in my hand.

I’m seeing colors, blue and red,
I don’t think I can stand.
I should have known I’d wind up dead,
With a crack pipe in my hand.

It’s over now, all done for me,
My life’s like grains of sand.
I hope the others never see,
A crack pipe in their hand.

If others learn from my mistake,
I’ll be a happy man.
I now know you should never take,
A crack pipe in your hand.

I'm hoping for the best, but it's a terrible thing. It changes people a great deal, causing them to do things they never would have considered before.

And they always say it was just for fun.

Tramp,

A very, very nice job on this.
It's truley frightening how something so common looking and plain can instantly take total control of one's destiny. I hope Tim will overcome. Life's a precious gift.

Unfortunately, it looks as though Tim is not going to overcome this. It overcame him. He was never like this before. Here is an article from the local paper. This is about Tim. It was not two men. It was Tim. He is armed and hasn't been caught yet. I am trying to convince him to turn himself in.

Just a few days before this happened, Tim told me it was all in fun.
Some fun.

Manhunt Ends In Perry Township

LISBON — Police officials were looking for possibly two men described as “armed and dangerous” Saturday night.

According to Corp. Mike Golec of Goshen Township Police, Sgt. Steve McDaniel spotted a vehicle at a home where it should not have been at about 6 p.m. When the driver spotted police, he drove off recklessly in a high-speed chase through both Goshen and Green Township.

The vehicle crashed on Duck Creek Road south of Pine Lake Road and the driver fled on foot. The passengers were detained for questioning.

In the vehicle police reportedly found drug paraphernalia, along with two rifles and a pistol. Due to the weapons police believed the person they were searching for was possibly armed.

The driver was possibly spotted by Perry Township police after he had called for someone to come give him a ride. Police searched the woods near Allen Road, aided by a K-9 unit from Beaver Township.

Golec said several charges are possible once the suspect is found, but he had not been at press time. He reportedly resides in the county.

It's a stupid thing. Then again...

Perhaps he didn't know it was a bad thing.

Perhaps he spent the last 35 years with his eyes and ears glued shut!

Perhaps monkeys will fly out his butt!

No, I think I had it right the first time.
