Two Warnings From Corrine. MUST READ!

Corrine has some important information for us.

Here, now, is Corrine.
Oh, and she's lookin' fine, as always!

There is an email currently making the rounds, which carries a warning of impending doom.

It seems to be one of those 'we're all gonna die!' type of things.

It claims that a decongestant, known as PPA, is going to kill us all!

Here is what my research has uncovered.

The First Warning

This email is a scare attempt, because in reality there is not, nor was there ever, a recall or a warning issued by the FDA concerning PPA.

The FDA issued an advisory, as there is "a 'slight risk' of side effects".

It also contains an outdated list of products that it claims does contain this PPA substance, when the truth is they do not. They did at one time, but stopped using it voluntarily over six years ago.

In truth, this email contains no truths and no useful information.

Now the bad news.

The Second Warning

This annoying little side effect is that it "increases the risk of hemorrhagic stroke (bleeding into the brain or into tissue surrounding the brain) in women".

That, I think you'll agree, could be a problem.

Making myself dead or an incompetent vegetable are not very high on the list of things I'd like to accomplish!

The FDA, and the crew here at the Riverbank as well, advise you to look for and avoid this PPA substance.

Myself, I believe that when the stakes are that high, 'a slight risk' is not an acceptable risk.

Ignore that email if you see it, but read the FDA advisory concerning PPA
here and the FDA information page on PPA here.

And find a different decongestant!
