THE ANSWER

JELL-O ART - This amber colored chunk of Jell-O photographed all by itself very closely resembles glass.

THE CLUES EXPLAINED

1. Jell-O is a military slang term meaning ‘a plan or operation that is not solidified, where details are uncertain, and/or not yet known, at the present time‘.

2 and 3. Jell-O has a weird, not quite liquid, while also not completely solid, structure. I don’t mean to gross you out, but gelatin is made from a type of protein called collagen that is found in cow and pig hides, hooves, bones and connective tissues.

4. During the early quarter of the 20th century, immigrants entering Ellis Island in New York City were served JELL-O gelatin as a “Welcome to America”.

5. 1845 - The industrialist, inventor and philanthropist Peter Cooper, of Tom Thumb engine and Cooper Union fame, obtained the first patent for a gelatin dessert.

Military slang?

I know some of that!

"Blue One to Blue Leader,
Incoming Hostiles,
Twenty Clicks North."

Did I win?

Seriously, I have no clue what that is.

A long time ago, there was a cartoon with a small boy in it. When ever someone told him he was going to get a gift or a surprise, he always said, "It's a horse!"

I can't remember what the cartoon was called.
