Albert's Toy

I was at my friend Albert's place the other day while he was working on one of his toys.

He was touching up the paint on a 1962 Sunbeam Alpine.

This Sunbeam is a British sports car from another era. It is one of the many autos that Albert owns. He collects International Sports Cars as a hobby. He actually drives them as well.

Albert is a fun guy to be around. Funny, entertaining, and prone to pranking you, he is always remembered fondly by those who experience him. He will make his own fun in a way that you won't see coming.

For example, this evening, he and I passed the time by flying kites.

Big ones, no shit.

This Alpine from his collection is in excellent condition. It runs even better than it looks thanks to Albert's mechanical tinkering.

This is a classic two-seat sports car that grabs attention every where it and Albert go.

It's easy to see why!

Cool,
My dad used to own a Sunbeam from 70-72. I think it was a 65 model. He said it was a high performance sports car, but didn't suit the family.

What happened to the Sunbeam Company?

Chrysler is what happened to the Sunbeam company.

Read their entire history at Wikipedia.

I don't know what you mean by 'HUH?'.

Unless you didn't read the link.

Chrysler bought Sunbeam and drove it out of business.
