It's Hard To Find A Good Paint Job These Days

.

*****Christmas Present Alert*****

Surprisingly, it turns out there really is talent here at the Riverbank.
Genuine, honest, real talent.

Only it's not from me. It's from one of the readers.
JohnD to be exact.
Well, it's his wife who has the talent, but he's the one who threw me a clue.

She paints.
Not houses. Or cars. I'm talking about art. Real art.
This lady is good. Real good.

Here are some samples that she was nice enough to let me use.
They are beautiful.
This truly is art.

And it's on my site!
Real art. On my site!

Now that's classy, huh?
We got class here.

Really.

NEENER NEENER - WE GOT ART!

Sorry. Sorry.

Here are the pics with the artist's own description.
These and many more are all available on the artist's website, UnicornsQuest.

Could be a nice Christmas present! Hint. Hint.

Unicorns Quest
Art by Leslie Hoops-Wallace

'AFTER KATRINA'
This first item is a painting done in acrylic. It was inspired by photos taken by a friend while helping as a doctor at the Katrina disaster site. This piece is sized at 16" x 20" and is now available at 200USD.

.

'AMERICAN CHAOS'
This next work is one of two paintings I offered to President Bush during his trip to Perry, Georgia. He graciously accepted both the American Chaos and The Iraqi Freedom paintings.

I received a warm personal thank you note from the President for this gesture.

I have several 16" x 20" sized prints and they are available at 20USD each. I personally sign and number each one of these prints.

.

'FLINT RIVER'

Here is a small acrylic painting, sized at 11" x 14", which is known as a 'plein aire' painting (one which was done on the bank of a river) .

.

'HAWK IN WOODS'

Here is a Wildlife done in acrylic, measuring 20" x 24".

It is being offered at 300USD.

.

.

'ISLAND PONIES'

'Misty of Chincoteague', a 1947 book written by Marguerite Henry, was the inspiration for this piece. It is a painting which is also based on some excellent photos taken in Virginia, where cowboys were chasing and catching wild horses to take to auction.

This painting measures 3 feet by 4 feet, and was done on a wrap around canvas. It is available for 900USD.

Thanks Tramp. I told Leslie to send you her Iraqi Freedom picture. It is a nice tribute to our solders. A lot of people don't like the American Chaos painting because it either has Osama in it, G.W., or both.

JohnD, she sent the 'Iraqi Freedom' and the 'Temple Of Doom'. But the server would not accept them for some reason. I tried the images at many different sizes and in many different formats, but nothing. I've run across this problem before and it remains a mystery.
