Concert

The show last night was awesome. This Joe Bonamassa is a great showman. The way he handles a guitar has to be seen to be believed. I got the feeling that if his guitar didn't do what he wanted it to, he would beat it into submission. Some of the sounds were surreal. His bass player is from Edgar Winter and the drummer from Kenny Wayne Sheppard. Joe and his bass player would face each other on some of the tighter riffs and literally feed off each other. A talented bunch. Joe also likes to interact with his fans. He could make you laugh when he wanted, then raise goosebumps with his playing. An accoustic set in the middle featured Joe by himself onstage, but filled the room with sound.

A mere 28 years old, you might think he is too young to be that good. This guy was opening for B.B. King when he was 12. Yes twelve. He write, plays and sings some top shelf stuff. He did a cover of "New Day" that blows away the original. I have all of his albums as I consider him one of the greats, but this is the first time I've seen him live. It will not be the last.
