Great story...being a military brat and working for the Air Force, I see stories like this all the time. Of course I also have seen the reverse, were the GI overseas sleeps with any female he can.
This is a true story, I know all three of the adults in question. An Air Force Sergeant was married to a woman (Amy). They had two boys, one a teenager. He was sent to Korea for 24 months. This was an accompanied tour meaning his family could go too. However, they decided the family would stay here in middle Ga. Within 6 months of his departure, she began dating Bob. Over the next 5 months she began the divorce proceedings. Since he was overseas, he could not or did not contest the divorce (I'm not sure of the complete details). She got everything she asked for including the custody, property, and child support. When the divorce was finalized, Amy married Bob. The marriage took place several months before the sergeant returned stateside.
She never had the guts to tell him.
Oh my God!
Just, oh my God!
How can a human being do something like that?
This is one reason why we have 'justifiable homicide' as a defense!
I'm sure he contested the judgment, as he was never informed of its existence.
He did, I'm not sure what the outcome was, but he wasn't happy with it.
There is no outcome to a situation such as that which would make a man happy.
Wait, maybe one.
You get to lock her in a room naked with an electric fence against one wall. Then you get to continually push her against the fence with a fire hose!
Yeah, that would probably have made him feel better.
