Airline Story
This story was told by Dana Carvey of SNL fame and Wayne's World most notably. I asked him if I could post it and he said I wasn't worthy. But I'm doing it anyway. This one didn't really make the rounds, but I've always liked it. British humor, you gotta love it.
Dana said he was on a flight from New York to London on the Concorde for the first time. He mentioned it was his first time on the supersonic jet to the flight attendant. Being a celebrity, the flight attendant asked him if he would like to tour the cockpit. He, being a guy, of course accepted. He was amazed at the vast number of controls, switches, dials, levers, etc. Just as he was preparing to leave, the pilot and co-pilot arrived. He exchanged greetings with them and asked, in wonder, if they really knew what all those different controls did. The British Airways pilot, in a proper English accent replied, "Not a clue. We have one button marked 'London' we push".
